We sat down with the designers of these pieces to learn more about what makes these selects so special, so well-put together and so essential.
Q&A With Rockstar Original Designer's
1. What was your inspiration in curating these pieces individually and collectively?
Collectively, this range was inspired by the late 90s/early 2000s hip-hop era where everything was about flashy, over-the-top street and stage styles. Individually, these pieces are about incorporating showy, statement-making elements along with comfort and functionality so our customers can go throughout their day with the same pieces, just switch up a layer or two.
2. Were there any rules, pop culture inspo or structure that really encouraged your creative process for these picks?
The creative process for this curated selection was mainly about trends I see in music videos and off-duty athletes. The resurgence in Y2K street-style was a key inspiration as well.
3. What is your favorite item in the range of curated selects? And Why?
The Billie Jeans are a stand-out piece for me — I love the blend of rock and street with the mix of skulls and bandana prints!
4. Tell us what makes this curated box of the best Rockstar Original designs so special?
This curated box has been hand-selected to give the customer a pre-styled, head-to-toe look that mixes and matches with each other so effortlessly and also can be incorporated individually with other items that are probably already in their closet. Design wise, these are all tried-and-true Rockstar Original staples that we loved creating.
